FLOOR CHECKOUT SIGN – DIRECTIONAL FLOOR GRAPHIC

Project Overview:
This project involved painting a clear, high-visibility floor sign to indicate the checkout area. The goal was to provide customers with easy-to-follow wayfinding in the space, ensuring an intuitive and seamless shopping experience.

Process & Techniques:

• Surface Preparation: Since floor graphics experience heavy foot traffic, the concrete was thoroughly cleaned and primed before applying the paint to ensure durability.
• Vinyl Stencil Application: A precision-cut stencil was used to create sharp, crisp lettering and borders.
• Specialized Floor Paint: After applying a primer for adhesion, a durable floor-grade paint was used to withstand daily wear and tear.

Challenges & Considerations:

• Ensuring the paint adhered properly to the floor required meticulous surface prep.
• The sign had to be perfectly aligned to match the store’s layout and avoid disrupting customer flow.
• Durability was a key concern, so multiple coats were applied to extend its longevity.

This was a straightforward but essential project, demonstrating how clear, well-designed signage can enhance the functionality and customer experience of a retail space.
