ELVY & FLO EXTERIOR MURAL – GHOST SIGN STYLE

This project for Elvy & Flo Café was all about capturing a timeless, vintage feel while integrating their brand identity seamlessly into the building’s exterior. The goal was to create an inviting, nostalgic look reminiscent of historic ghost signs, making it appear as though the logo had been part of the brickwork for decades.

To achieve this effect, we used high-quality vinyl stencils for precision, ensuring the lettering and graphics had crisp edges while still allowing for subtle distressing. The entire design was then painted by hand, layering colors strategically to enhance the weathered look.

One of the challenges of this project was the limited space in front of the mural. Since the working area was quite tight, we had to use an indoor-rated SkyJack lift outdoors, which required a completely flat and stable surface to ensure safety. Fortunately, the ground met these requirements, allowing us to execute the mural efficiently while maintaining full control over the details.

This mural is not just an aesthetic addition to the café—it’s a powerful branding tool that enhances street visibility and invites customers in for a warm, welcoming experience. Ghost signs like this have an incredible way of blending history with modern businesses, creating a charming and recognizable storefront that resonates with both locals and passersby.
