METAGUEST OFFICE EXTERIOR SIGNAGE PROJECT

 

This project was commissioned by Metaguest, an app developer specializing in hotel convenience solutions. The client wanted a bold and professional exterior sign featuring their logo painted above the entrance of their office. Effective signage not only enhances a business’s brand presence but also gives a sense of ownership and identity to the space.

Inspiration & Concept Development

The goal was to create a clean, high-contrast sign that would stand out against the dark exterior brick wall of the office. The minimalist design, featuring Metaguest’s logo in green and white, was chosen to reflect the modern, tech-savvy nature of the company. The placement above the entrance ensures maximum visibility for visitors and clients.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the primary challenges was the height of the sign, which was over 10 feet above the ground. This required the use of ladders, making access and stability crucial considerations. To minimize the need for touch-ups after painting, we employed a double-bleed technique, ensuring clean, crisp lines with minimal paint seepage under the stencil.

Since working at height can lead to fatigue, we carefully planned our approach to complete the job efficiently and safely. The white and green colors were applied by hand using brushes, with careful attention to brushing techniques to maintain sharp edges and avoid smudging the stencil.

  • Stencil Application: Custom stencils were created for the logo and lettering to ensure precise placement and clean edges.
  • Double-Bleed Technique: Applied to reduce paint bleed under the stencil and minimize the need for touch-ups.
  • Brush Painting: Used for applying the white and green colors, ensuring even coverage and sharp lines.
  • High-Quality Exterior Paint: Selected for durability and weather resistance.

Impact & Feedback

The finished sign transformed the exterior of the office, giving it a fresh, professional look that reflects the company’s brand. The entire office team came out to see the completed sign and were genuinely impressed with both the quality of the work and the speed of execution. Completing the project in under 6 hours on-site was a testament to our efficient process and skilled team.
