GEOMETRIC PATTERN WALL – GAME ROOM FEATURE DESIGN

Project Overview

This custom-painted geometric wall was designed for a game room in a condo, creating a bold and stylish visual statement. The crisp white lines on a dark background add a modern and energetic touch to the space, enhancing the room’s dynamic atmosphere.

Design & Layout

• The geometric pattern was meticulously measured and drawn using a ruler, right angles, and a right-angle ruler to ensure precise alignment.
• The design needed to be symmetrical and seamless, requiring fine-tuning adjustments to ensure every intersecting line matched up perfectly.

Preparation & Execution

• The entire pattern was taped off to achieve sharp, crisp lines.
• To prevent paint from bleeding under the tape, the lines were first bled with the base coat (matching the dark background color) before applying the final white paint.
• The white topcoat was applied carefully to maintain a clean, professional finish that would stand out in the game room setting.

Challenges & Solutions

• Alignment Precision: Due to the complexity of the intersecting lines, adjustments were made to ensure they met at the correct angles.
• Surface Obstacles: The pattern extended across a door and thermostat, requiring careful adjustments to maintain continuity.
• High-Traffic Area: Since this was a game room, the design had to be both visually striking and durable.
