MATCH CASINO – LARGE EXTERIOR SIGN
Project Overview
This large-scale painted signage was completed for Match Casino, ensuring a bold, eye-catching entrance that clearly marks the establishment for patrons. The massive letters, each over six feet tall, serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose—helping visitors immediately identify their destination while adding a visually striking element to the building’s exterior.
Design & Execution
- Projection & Layout: The lettering design was projected onto the wall at night, ensuring precise alignment and scale. Before projection, arrangements were made to keep the parking area clear, preventing cars from obstructing the setup.
- Taping & Painting Process: Once projected, the letters were taped out using painter’s tape to maintain sharp edges. The bold serif font required extra attention to detail, particularly in ensuring uniformity across all the characters.
- Serif Details: To maintain consistency in the typography, reusable stencils were created specifically for the serif portions of the letters. This method ensured every letter maintained a uniform appearance without freehand inconsistencies.
- Access & Equipment: Due to the height of the letters, scaffolding was used to safely reach the upper sections of the sign and provide a stable working platform.
Impact & Visibility
The final result is a highly visible, professional-looking sign that seamlessly integrates with the casino’s branding. Whether viewed from a distance or up close, the clean lines and precise execution make a strong statement.
