RADICAL ROAD BREWING MURAL
- Client: Radical Road Brewing, a brewery store owner on Queen Street East in Leslieville.
- Objective: The client wanted to make their storefront stand out by painting the facade black and incorporating their logo in a subtle yet bold way.
- Challenges:
- The project was located on a busy street, requiring careful planning to ensure pedestrian safety.
- The alignment of the logo was critical, as it needed to fit seamlessly around the windows while maintaining its circular form.
- Working in an urban environment meant limited space for equipment, necessitating the use of a compact lift.
- Process:
- The entire wall was first painted a solid black to serve as the background.
- A vinyl stencil was then applied to achieve crisp edges on the brewery’s intricate script-style logo.
- A small indoor electric skyjack was used to work at height while ensuring clearance for pedestrians.
- Caution tape and pylons were placed around the work area to enhance safety.
- The layout was meticulously measured before painting to ensure perfect alignment with the windows.
- Description:
The mural features the Radical Road Brewing logo, a dynamic, vintage-inspired emblem with elegant script typography encased in a circular badge. The soft gray-on-black contrast gives it a classic, ghost sign aesthetic, allowing it to subtly integrate with the building while still being highly visible. The stars and sweeping lettering add a touch of craftsmanship, reinforcing the brand’s artisanal brewing identity. - Outcome: The finished mural blends seamlessly with the architecture while enhancing the brand’s presence, creating a striking visual identity for the business.
