ROOF LINES – WAREHOUSE & YARD SIGNAGE
Project Overview:
Roof Lines, a roofing company, wanted their logo painted onto their warehouse and yard to create a strong, visible brand presence. The challenge was that the sign was being applied to corrugated metal siding, which required extra care to ensure clean, sharp lines.
Process & Techniques:
- Vinyl stencil was carefully applied, ensuring it adhered smoothly over the ridges of the corrugated surface.
- Scaffolding was provided by the client, given their expertise in roofing, making it safer and more efficient for us to complete the work.
- The painting was scheduled for evening hours in the summer to avoid extreme heat, which can cause stencils to stick too much and leave residue.
- Since there was no base color to work with, we had to apply the paint with precision and control, avoiding excess bleeding that could compromise the crisp stencil edges.
- Multiple coats were applied to achieve a strong, vibrant finish that would stand out against the dark siding.
Challenges & Solutions:
- Working on corrugated metal required careful application of the stencil to prevent gaps or distortion in the lettering.
- Avoiding stencil residue meant choosing the right time of day and ensuring the surface was properly prepped before painting.
- Limited ability to touch up errors meant working with extreme precision to maintain the integrity of the logo.
The final result was a bold, professional logo that enhanced the company’s visibility while maintaining a clean, high-quality finish. The project was completed efficiently in the evening with a small team, leveraging the company’s scaffolding for safe and effective execution.
